Sony Ericsson's third phone to support the Symbian OS is its most promising to date (Symbian allows this phone to have exceptional talk and stand-by times in comparison to other PDA/Smart Phones on the market.) The Sony Ericsson P910 Tri-Band PDA Cellphone largely resembles its predecessor, the P900, in look and feel, yet it has some noteworthy extras under the hood, including a flip-down QWERTY keyboard, a rich 262,000-color touch-screen display, multiple e-mail options, and more internal memory (upgraded from 16MB to 64MB). It also has an increased capacity for add-on Memory Stick Duo usage (upgraded from a maximum memory stick of 128 MB to a maximum memory stick of 1 GB).

Priced similarly to the original lauch price of the P900, the phone will be available in Q3 in three versions: the P910i world phone, the P910c for mainland China, and the P910 for North and Latin America. We are featuring the P910i world phone with the GSM 900/1800/1900 Bands here, as it is the first model we have recieved in stock. This model is unlocked and compatible with nearly every GSM service worldwide (**except for Cingular and AT&T Wireless in North America.)

Many of the P900's most popular features are present, such as Bluetooth connectivity, a speakerphone, and Symbian OS 7.0. The Sony Ericsson P910 adds another form of text input--a flip-down QWERTY keyboard--to its stealthy arsenal, which already includes T9 predictive text, a touch-screen keyboard, and a handwriting app. It also incorporates options such as Smartner Duality Always-on Mail for corporate e-mail support of Outlook and Lotus Notes, as well as One Bridge Mobile, Visto Mobile, and Intellisync Mobile Suite. The phone also included a VGA camera/video recorder.

The Sony Ericsson P910 will be a sought-after mobile in the smart phone arena and a worthy competitor to the larger and bulkier Treo 600. Underneath the sleek and sophisticated exterior you'll find intelligence and power. The range of installable programs and applications on the included add-on CD-ROM has been expanded. Among the most useful ones are the utilities for review of MSWord, MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat documents. Some of the other programs included are Avantgo (reading of saved web-pages), Media Viewer (direct access to the news, to Financial Times, etc.), and Promyzer (the data base on stock-exchange ratings and trading shares in real time mode.) ** Cingular and AT&T Wireless users in North America will want to get the Sony Ericsson P910a for 100% compatibility with their service. While the P910i has the 900 MHz International GSM band, it does not include the 850 MHz band that Cingular and AT&T use in some areas of the United States. The P910a (North American Model) loses the 900 MHZ band in favor of the 850 MHz band - in other words, it has 850/1800/1900 MHz GSM Tri-Band operation.
